"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day. Lawrence offered us a ride...

"This was a great stay! The hotel is so cute and the staff is top notch! The rooms were spacious, had plenty of shelving, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is convenient, located near stores, Darwin Ave, restaurants, and bars. It is about a 10 minute walk to the pier, but they will coordinate taxis if you need it.
